Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella’s Melograno fragrance is a bouquet of floral spicy notes. The pomegranate fruit symbolizes many things and it is emblematic of fertility and abundance. Caterina de Medici used to wear a precious metallic sphere containing solid perfume to be smelled on occasion: the pomander, in Florence called scented pomegranate.
