In the heat of the Californian sun
Inspired by the Californian landscapes that weave the backdrop to the American dream, this fragrance evokes a luxuriant paradise where nature is full of endless wonders. From the palms of Palm Spring to the desert cacti of Joshua Tree, the cliffs of Big Sur and the fields of orange trees, every inch is bathed in glorious sunlight. To recall the sensation of the sun on the skin, perfumer Antoine Maisondieu chose to use a flower drenched in sunlight: Sambac jasmine. A relative of the orange flower, this plant is cultivated in hot and humid climates and exudes an irresistible scent of honey and white blossom. Its pure, unadulterated optimism envelops the skin in positive vibes and radiant rays.
Enveloped in dreamlike Sambac jasmine
“When I created this fragrance, I imagined a Californian landscape bathed in sunlight. Jasmine immediately emerged as an obvious choice in particular Sambac jasmine, cultivated in India which has a floral, animalistic yet fruity complexity,” confesses Antoine Maisondieu. The perfumer chose to combine this jasmine with a whole field of equally radiant flowers. The top notes exude orange blossom essence (also known as neroli) and mandarin, preluding the perfumes joyful personality. Exalted and nuanced Sambac jasmine then combines with voluptuous frangipani flowers. Lastly, the distant echo of beeswax and vanilla call to mind the sweet sensation of the sun setting over the Pacific Ocean.
